Our Story
Founded in 2010, Sheltered Steps has been providing exceptional residential care for young people aged 16-18 for over a decade. Our journey began with a single home in Birmingham and has grown to multiple locations across the region, all maintaining the same high standards of care and support.
We recognized the need for specialized transitional care that bridges the gap between childhood dependence and adult independence. Our approach combines emotional support with practical life skills training to prepare young people for the challenges of independent living.
"At Sheltered Steps, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence needed to build a successful, independent life."
